"We stayed for 3 nights in December, the breakfast was good and never busy, staff checking us in wet friendly and polite and spoke multiple languages. The areas itself is ok, it's near a tram stop into the centre of Basel and within close enough proximity to local amenities such as the Co-op to stock up on some essentials for cooking. The apartment was a good size with hob, microwave and fridge / freezer included which was handy. A bit disappointed with the pool area, it could use a refresh to...

"Staff was uniformly wonderful. Great family-owned hotel that has retained its old-world ambiance. Amenities included some free wine, beer, juice into the room refrigerator, great breakfast buffet and the special Basel card. That allowed us to ride the trams for free. "

"The staff were ever so helpful. A lot of the staff spoke multiple languages, which helped a lot. (I am only English speaking) Catered for gluten free and offered oat and soya milk. Fully stocked fridge with beer, water and soft drinks. 5 mins walk from the highstreet. 20 min walk to vitra museum. Only rated 4/5 for condition because there was ongoing maintenance which I wasn’t aware of. However this didn’t disrupt our stay. The room was perfect and breakfast was great. "

"This is a very attractive, modern hotel in a lovely older building. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. We appreciated the design and eco-friendly touches. The only downside was the room was very warm and the thermostat seemed unable to go below a set temperature. We had to open the windows to cool off. Otherwise, a really nice stay."
