"Quiet lodging a short drive from the city. Clean and a great area to see northern lights. Did not receive check in instructions via Expedia and had to contact property upon arrival. There seemed to be no staff on premises so I actually had to contact a sister property. A bit confusing."

Alftanes is a quiet peninsula about 15 min drive from Reykjavik on the west side, so closer to the international airport. There is a Bonus supermarket and other shops 5 minutes away and a local swimming pool and Spa.
