I have never had to do bad reviews. Seriously never! I arrived to Alexandria La late and contacted the hotel to inform them I would be late. A male asked me for my name and checked my information and said ok I will inform the night shift. I now arrived to the hotel late and upon my arrival the male that I spoke with about late arrival told me my booking was cancelled and the rooms were sold out. Mind you I’m from out of town and it’s late! He did not show any compassion only but it’s telling him my room is cancelled. What made it worse is that I had to ask him to call the manager 3 times! ?? Another employee arrived, I assumed she was the night shift, she called the manager and informed me the manager emailed me about being overbooked!!! I didn’t not receive that email! I’ve worked in customer service before and the empathy just wasn’t there. I wasn’t loud, rude disrespectful and again they just didn’t care and this is why I am leaving a review. Teach the employees in situations like this to have compassion for attendees like myself who drive 5 hours after work to be informed my booking was cancelled. I want to truly give a huge thanks to Ryan at Expedia!!! He expedited my booking to another hotel even though Fairfield INN dropped the ball! But Expedia thank you again for caring about my well being !!! That’s how you take care of your customers. That’s it. This the review , I still disgusted and still haven’t heard from the “GM” I’m pretty sure they will respond to this smh.
