"An amazing place tucked away in the countryside but conveniently located for lots of the area’s attractions. We came in late Sept and the weather was warm enough for us to picnic our evening meal on the terrace in peace and quiet. The hosts are brilliant nothing is too much trouble and spent time explaining the best places to go. The rooms are of a really high standard and decorated impressively. We cannot recommend this place highly enough. "

"We have just spent 3 nights at this fabulous property. The hosts were very kind and welcoming. They advised us on where to eat and even booked some restaurants for us as well as advising us on good places to visit in the vicinity. The property is beautifully renovated and incredibly stylishly presented but feels relaxed and comfortable. Our room really was lovely. "It's amazing how only two people (husband and wife - they run this place) can make you feel welcome and like you come to the house of loving friends or relatives! They greet us with the smile, showed to our rooms and offered us dinner even it was 10 pm. When was last time you had such a service!?? Can't not to mention the dinner that was cooked by husband - simply amazing! This place shows you all the best you want in hospitality. Highly recommended, we’ll be back! "

"Very relaxing and comfortable stay in the countryside near Sarlat. The room was small but comfortable and with all amenities. Very quiet in an old country home. A great French breakfast was included and you can order dinner (be sure to ask the host in the morning) with fresh and high quality local delicacies. The host was also very friendly and helpful. We recommend for anyone looking to taste the Périgord countryside!"

"The Maison de Tari is a perfect place to stay for families looking to explore the area around Sarlat. We stayed in a family room with three small children and it suited us perfectly. All rooms had a separate outside sitting area with a large table. It had a good sized pool, a separate communal cooking and dining area, including a gas BBQ and a fridge. A great continental breakfast was provided that included fresh pastries from the local bakery, and a selection of local jams, cheeses and meats....

"Renovated old hotel, nicely done. Adjacent old town. Excellent location! Friendly and helpful check-in person. Our room, #115, was tastefully furnished and clean. (zero art, but not missed). Radiator heat, safe, refrigerator , too small area for toiletries for two, and a shower-bath in desperate need of a grab bar before someone gets hurt. Comfortable bed. Pretty good breakfast which we had once of the three mornings we were there. Parking lot, free overnight, is directly in front of hotel."
