Kerkent, Agrigento
My husband and myself we spent 3 exceptional days at Kerkent. Gisella and Tommaso are perfect hosts, attentionate, friendly, caring a lot about the well being of their hosts. The Sicilian breakfast was delicious and abundant. The location is easy to find, lots of trattorias around, the rooms are comfortable, there are free parking possibilities near by. I warmly recommend Kerkent.

This is a beautiful property - so charming. The rooms are very spacious, sparkling clean, and cool. Everything was absolutely silent and we slept so well. Breakfast was delicious - a wide variety of local delicacies including apple torte. Our room had a lovely balcony, but the courtyard by the breakfast area was so stunning, we decided to eat out there instead. The hosts were extremely kind, friendly and accommodating. This is the best hotel we have stayed at. I would give 10 stars and highly recommend it.

Good value in Agrigento
We had the most pleasant stay. We will welcome by the host and were led to a parking space. The room was spacious and clean. And the breakfast, though simple, was a lovely plus to wake up to with hot coffee, juice, breads, cakes and spreads etc. The steep staircase to the town was the only minus for people with mobility issues. Other than that, we were more than happy to spend our night here.

Sublime hosts and central location with parking
Kerkent is at the very top of Agrigento and looks down toward the Valley of Temples and the sea. It is part of small square with reliable parking out front. We had a large room with terrace. The owners are why this place is special. We found Gisela and Tomaso the nicest hosts in Sicily, friendly, generous and thoughtful with local information. We will be back.

Lovely place
Having mainly stayed in hotels, this was our first experience of a B&B for a long time and it shows how much better these places are than many hotels. This town does not have that many hotels anyway but staying in the old part of town in a small square was idyllic. The location is great, finding the place is not straightforward, though I would have found it first time if I hadn't stopped and asked for directions! The owner was there to meet us and show us our room which was spotless and we had everything we needed through our stay. He recommended where we should go and eat and this introduced us to some great places to eat and drink. I would recommend the Sicilian wine, cheap and very good. Breakfast was served by another family member, who was most helpful as well in advice on how to get a bus to the temples.

Comfortable B&B with a difficult location
The B&B is excellent. Friendly people, good breakfast (mostly cold--not full English), very clean, comfortable bed and room (#5 even has a large shared deck with #4). Parking in the same piazza as the B&B is usually easy to get. In fact everything went well. My only problem with the B&B is it's location at the very top of the hill on which Agrigento sits. If you don't want to drive down each time, you will need to walk down an incline with an elevation change of about 2 floors, then 110 stairs to get down to the nearest major street for restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, etc. Of course, it's coming back up that's the hard part :-). The B&B is also on the first floor (that's the 2nd floor in US terminology), but they helped carry my luggage up. There really isn't anything on the piazza where the B&B sits (except a church), so going down to lower levels is a necessity. If you're not up for the climb, you could drive down, but then finding parking, etc., becomes an issue. I looked at it as some much needed exercise and rested a few times on the way up. Others may not take that view.

Great small B and B
This is a great small B and B typical of those found in Sicily. It is well disguised from the street and difficult to find (again typical) but lovely inside. There is a flight of stairs to get into the property. The owner gave us a good map of the town and suggestions for sightseeing and eating out marked on it which we didn't get anywhere else we stayed so that was a nice touch. The room was large with shuttered glass doors opening onto a balcony and view over the little square. Aircon was efficient and quiet, the bed was good quality . There was lots of variety for breakfast. Wifi worked well in the room.

If you can get in, stay here!
Of all the B&Bs and apartments we stayed in during 9 days in Sicily, this was the best. Rooms have been updated with excellent appliances and furniture. A short walk to the town center (be advised, one steep hill and maybe 40 steps). Even AC which we really needed even though it was the 3rd week of September. A most gracious host too. It's not easy to find and they only have a very tiny sign, so if you drive and use Google Maps, when you arrive (there's a tiny square-like area where you'll park) look for the number of the door.

Wonderful host
After having initial difficulty in locating the B&B due to the small sign outside the door, which is being dealt with by Angelo, we were treated to friendly, professional service. If you arrive by public transport notify the owner as he will assist you, as the B&B is in an uphill location. On arrival, we were given cool drinks and fruit which was a really welcome gesture. We were given a map of Agrigento, advice on where to eat and any questions we asked were answered with courtesy, The accommodation was excellent, clean, spacious and well maintained. Breakfast consisted of rolls, cheese, ham, yoghurts, cakes, drinks as requested and we were treated to fresh ricotta cheese each morning. All the sights of Agrigento are within easy reach of the B&B and if you wish to travel to the Valley of the Temples, the bus station is very near. There are quite a few restaurants to choose from nearby with the nearest, Manhattan, serving up delicious pizzas. If ice cream is your favourite, Le Cuspidi is a must, great flavours and so reasonable prices.

Delightful
We stayed for 3 nights in May and were delighted with both the accommodation and the host Gisella, who could not have been more friendly and helpful. Our room was airy and spacious with a generous sized shower room and a terrace. Everything was newly tiled and decorated and there was a small breakfast room with another communal terrace for afternoon sun. Breakfast was continental but with a good selection of fruit, yoghurt, ham, cheese etc and a delicious torte every day. It is quite tucked away so if you are going by car a sat nav is a good idea but parking was not too much of a problem and it was so handy for the bus station that we left the car and took the bus to the temples. You can also walk to the Duomo and other sights as it is on the edge of the old town. We would definitely recommend this B and B to everyone except if you have mobility problems as it is up a steep staircase. There is also a really nice restaurant called Manhattan just down the road which serves typical Sicilian style food and pizzas.

Lidt svært at finde - og ret stejle og snævre gader på vej dertil. Kvarteret/Agrigento by er efter min smag lidt trist... Men tempeldalen er fantastisk.
