Lots of parking, good restaurant on site, and really friendly staff who arranged a baby cot and chair well before we checked in! Only thing is the rooms have a slightly dated decor. "Lovely helpful staff, beautifully laid out rooms with excellent facilities. Housekeeping was perfect. Fantastic pools, perfect for families. There was a lovely mix of nationalities staying at the hotel, perfect for families or couples. 15 mins or for a coastal walk into Chania - a vibrant city with a stunning old town and Venetian harbour. Recommend a day trip to the Samaria gorge if you’re active. "

"What an amazing hotel run by the most hard working, friendly and helpful people. All of the staff were brilliant, the hotel is super clean, with themed nights, differnt food which has so much choice. We stayed as 3 chikdren and 2 adults. "I had torn my achilles tendon just before my stay here so accessibility was an issue to some degree. No rooms had ramps or had ground floor accessibility. "Overall we enjoyed our stay at Portou House. Our room was on the top floor. There was some hanging space but not a lot of storage other than one drawer. The bed was really comfortable and toiletries and a hairdryer were peovided. The room would benefit from soundproofing as there was a bit of noise from a nearby restaurant, however this did not spoil our stay. The rooms are in a great location. We would definitely return. "

"George the the bellhop was extremely helpful , friendly, and gave us some recommendations on our route to see a few of the closest beaches. The hotels in a great location close to the port with plenty of really good food. Options parking was very convenient and breakfast was really delicious. Would stay again."

"Location of sublime! Tons of restaurants nearby, really good ones too. Lots of shopping as well. Breakfast buffet was very impressive, top quality and exceptional. My only issue was that the room was very small and more suitable for one person, not two. Otherwise, an excellent option. Private parking as well which we appreciated."

"This is a charming lovely family run hotel. Everyone is amazing. The font desk with Melena -were so sweet and so helpful! Loved the room - the view- breakfast - the lovely beach and the wait staff that brought us April Spritz’s -it’s small - quaint and has a wonderful ambience that so enhanced our stay!
