Wow what can l say, the hotel is in the most perfect location, right on the beach. The room was spacious and the bed so comfortable. A special mention to the guys on the reception desk, they were so friendly and welcoming. On arrival we were upgraded to an ocean view room, was given a glass of champagne and because it was my daughter’s birthday, they sent up a bottle of champagne to her suite. Service absolutely outstanding, can’t wait to stay at the Grand hotel again. Thank you

I love coming back to the Stamford at Glenelg. I just like the feel of its old charm, especially the bar. It is a little tired, but I would like to see the chesterfield chairs updated to new chesterfields. The beds are comfortable but bouncy.

Stamford Grand is in a prime location, right by the beach. The rooms are large and comfortable with great amenities. It’s a little dated with the shower over bath but otherwise fine. Parking is not free at $25 per night but the hotel is in a very convenient location close to restaurants and shopping. A good range of items is available in the buffet breakfast served daily.

Location near the beach was great. We were in a room facing the suburbs. Noise at night from nightclubs and bars was a distraction as was the garbage trucks. Considering the premium paid I would further suggest the premises require an upgrade/renovation.

Nice hotel right on the beach and next to many restaurants. Pool is large and gym is adequate. Staff are very polite and friendly and aim to please. Room was large with nice sea view though heats up in the afternoon if it is a hot day as the ocean view room has the afternoon sun. Room has good blockout curtains, comfortable bed and modern bathroom. Furniture in room is modern and doesn’t make the room feel inviting as you would expect in a heritage hotel. A painting on the wall would’ve been nice to soften the decor.

Room was lovely. Breakfast was poor. Poor service in Breakfast room and a generally shabby appearance there. Dirty tray containing cups for beverages.Cocktail bar was closed and therefore inaccessible for use. Surely guests should have access 7 days!
