"This is a fine resort hotel, however, I was troubled by the inoperative Air Conditioning which ultimately required that we move to a different room. It was on-and-off, and was ultimately resolved, but the problem was annoying and interruptive. Otherwise, a great stay! Great food, very nice staff."

"I was supposed to have stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, but after less than an hour I started having problems. First problem was that the room is offered bare of any amenities - as I am travelling for about a month, you would expect to find simple things like shampoo, soap, fresh usable towels, hair drier, some water in the fridge, etc. There was absolutely nothing. "A pousada é grande, o quarto que eu fiquei 206 estava com a porta avariada. Na parede do quarto uma enorme mancha de mofo. No banheiro havia uma sujeira que parecia metralha. O quarto só tinha a cama, uma cadeira e um frigobar. Outro ponto ruim é que alguns quartos ficam voltados para a rua, muito barulho de carros, ônibus, moto etc (é uma ladeira, muitos caminhões e ônibus fazem muito barulho pra subir)"

I can understand putting a deposit on towels, as people probably take them to the water park, and probably many left them behind, but if your turn them back in, you would get your deposit back. "The pools look great! But, once you get in, it's just hard to find a comfortable position, like, the benches are either too high or too low and angled poorly so that your bottom side floats off. They were designed by someone that made them look good on paper, but, that person probably hasn't ever been in a pool. The pools were clean, uncrowded, and calm. The pool lounges were terribly uncomfortable because the straps are old and stretched and the metal bar runs right across the middle of your back. The food was average at best. I'm pretty sure most everything was frozen or canned. The coffee wasn't even brewed, it was the powder stuff from a machine. Geez, this is Brazil, brew the coffee. The building needs lots of maintenance. There are 440 rooms in this hotel. I was there during the week and I bet only about 25 rooms were rented. I don't know how this place is going to stay in business. Overall, it's a good value. My room rate was pretty low, so, I can't expect a lot. I got what I paid for. Except that it's rated as 4-star. It might be time to re-rate the hotel. I'm overall happy with my stay."
