"The hotel is sensational. Paying for the room upgrade was the best thing we did. The city views were amazing!! And the location is mint. And if a taxi ride was needed it usually only cost 200 Baht saving a 45 minute walk. However the long walks give you so many sights they are also worth doing. Lastly the staff would be 11 out of 10!! They go the extra mile and then some more!!"

"We only stayed here one night at the end of our honeymoon. Of all the places we stayed in the two weeks, this was the highest rated star wise and more pricey. Unfortunately, it was the only place where the AC was subpar. It was a beautiful property though! Pool looked nice, but we didn’t have time to go in. We had a corner room. "The hotel and pool area were a bit tired and did not feel like the luxury that the brochures promised. In contrast, the reception area was beautiful and the evening pianist and singers et cetera were very good. The rooms need a good makeover. The location is very good for accessing the river boats and the skytrain."

"Had a great stay, room and bathroom were very comfortable and spacious. Staff all great and we really appreciated being able to use the showers in the gym before our late flight. Only thing would be that the continental selection at breakfast was a bit lacking for the price of the hotel. "

"My wife and I found the hotel, the staff, the concierge, restaurants and pool as well as our room beat all of our expectations. It really was fantastic and if you love a great cup of coffee the cappuccino at the veranda restaurant was one of the best we have had anywhere in the world. "

"The new Dusit Thani is a top-notch facility. They have a few glitches in opening and will continue to improve as the facility fully opens. All of the products they use, from the ingredients in the foods, to the food preparation and room amenities are the finest available. The staff is friendly, not just to the upscale clientele, but all guests. Sometimes I am well dressed, but other times I may looks disheveled when I am jet-lagged. They were kind and helpful no matter what my appearance may have been. Once they are fully opened guests will be able to walk-in at the garage level and have a smooth even walkway to the adjacent streets. Right now the walk way approach is going up an inclining driveway designed for cars to the second level main lobby. The sidewalks on the nearby streets are narrow and uneven largely due to the on-going construction. This will all be corrected when the construction is completed. The original Dusit Thani was one of the very best hotels in Bangkok. The new Dusit is well on the way to becoming even better."
