" Beautiful hotel, all rooms are facing the coast. Swimming pool with warm sea water is excellent. Parking is little bit outside of the hotel and might not have enough space. Walking distance to both Portoroz and Piran. The only complaint is no air conditioning in October. It is still warm during the day. Open windows work at night. "

"We had a bucket list trip to Italy and this hotel was the best place, and really made our trip memorable and terrific! We especially loved Erika, who we called because we were lost in our car’s navigation trying to find it. Erika calmed us down and said on the phone “you’re ok, you’re close, and I’m going to stay on the phone with you until you get here” and then she quickly helped us understand why the valet service was the best route, much better than trying to find a parking spot on those...

"We ended up here because we couldn’t find a hotel anywhere else, but it was awesome. Great price and very “European”. We stayed in a senior suite with a living room and bathroom. Gorizia is a beautiful, small, Italian college town. We had a delicious dinner just across the street and truly enjoyed the 16th century bar in our hotel where the bartender told us a lot about the hotel history. "

But if you are just in Trieste overnight to catch a cruise you would be better staying in Trieste as this place is 20-30 minutes away from cruise port. Also the train drop off is a 20 minute walk down steep hill and stairs to get to hotel. There were no cabs in sight. The bus stop is a 10 minute walk away. A cab to terminal costs about 30 euros.
