"Very convenient as this hotel provides airport transfers & the airport is about 10 minutes away. A recommended stay at Male for those who wish to stay a night before leaving to their destination. Service provided by staff is very friendly, informative & good. Surroundings have many nearby restaurants which are all walkable distances. The room is quite comfortable. Some amenities need to be refilled as the shampoo/body wash(?) was almost empty. Other than that, it's a pretty good stay."

"This is one of those hotels you get just for sleeping. Staff was helpful with luggage and getting a taxi. Room was clean. One downside is the taxi couldn't drop us off directly at the front door. We had to walk half a block. If you're fine with this, the hotel will work for you. "

Landing pattern for the airports sea plane will be heard for a few minutes during the day. Many food and shopping locations in the area. "I had a great three night stay at Ayala Ocean View. The room was spotless, spacious, bright, and everything worked! Also very quiet for a peaceful night's sleep. Nice views from my top floor room and patio outside. The staff were kind, attentive, and respectful. The shower was a bit fickle--alternating unpredictability between cold and scalding hot, but this was just a small inconvenience."

"Blocks off the beach. Beach sand coral and coarse. Host is responsive and provides a concierge. Access to surfing spots. Seasonal temperature and humidity is bordering intolerable. Political graffiti is ever present. Beautiful islands, third world charm. Overwhelming Muslim environment, including social restrictions. Safe and fair value, fantastic effort by host and concierge as much as possible. Long and pricey taxi by boat ($50 a couple each way) to arrive at the property. Noise disturbances...
