"It is self check in and there is a storage place for our luggage as we arrived around 1pm. This hotel is very close to the train station. There are lots of food options at the train station. Our room is kind of small for 2 adults with 2 luggage but we will manage. The room is clean. The staff are very helpful. "

"Good location in Nagano. The ground floor has a strong smell, and the you can tell they once allowed smoking in the hotel. Otherwise it is a fine hotel for a stay in Nagano. PS no personal climate control in your room, just on/off for whatever the building is pumping. The beds are SUPER soft, my partner loved it but too soft for me."

"Wonderful ryokan-style hotel. Stayed for 2 nights with half-board, and the meals (dinner and breakfast) were excellent. The staff were attentive and engaging, taking the time to introduce the dinner menu to us. Chose this place for my children's first ski experience. Just a 30-minute drive to Shiga Kogen where all the ski resorts are. The hotel offers both indoor and outdoor onsens. Simply superb for a hot, relaxing soak after a day on the ski slopes. Highly recommended! "

"Staff were very nice in welcoming us on arrival. It was snowing heavily so greatly appreciate that . But no one to help us with luggages when leaving the next day. Huge contrast ; is it only will help if snowing! Convenient to go to onsen and enjoy it! Staff not fluent in English. We had an emergency and the help they gave was quite limited. Food was ok but have to pay for your coffee & tea if you want it for breakfast. Maybe the meals they provide are traditional Japanese ! "
