"This is a unique hotel, perched on the hilltop of Montesano village. It has old charm and lots of character. Our room was spacious and with castle-themed furniture. We had a private terrace patio which was huge and offered a spectacular view across the area. The girl at the reception, Elsa, was very kind and informative. We had dinner at the restaurant of the hotel and it was delicious. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is a hidden gem. Parking at the property is free."

"Miscommunication. Drove around for an hour trying to find parking. There was no one at the reception area. The reception area was small and in ill repair. The key was hanging in a hook. We did not stay as it felt unwelcoming and we couldn’t find the parking garage. "

"We went to Padula to trace my family's ancestry. We planned a two day trip to Padula and were treated to excellent hospitality and comfort at the Grand Hotel Certosa. The location is perfect nestled at the bottom ot the town near the Certosa. The restaurant is excellent too and the staff was very helpful in directing us, helping us with information etc. Highly recommended for a stay in Padula."
