"Excellent choice and interesting concept just over canal from centrum. Well thought out. Excellentb breakfast buffet the day we ate in. Originally geared for students but now has guests of all ages. Nothing student or hostel about the faccilities or staff. Good wifi. Good mattresses. AC, which is only helpful in a brief timeframe this far north but we appreciated having it that stay. The rooms have excellent sound proofing."

"The place exceeded our expectations. Lawrence is a first class host. The place is really quirky and well worth the money. Leeuwarden is just a fantastic base in the north of the country and we made a visit to one of the Wadden Islands with a two hour ferry journey which was splendid. "

"I enjoyed my stay very much, the staff of the hotel made my stay very enjoyable. Easy to communicate and super friendly! Only thing that was tough was the hotel did not offer any face towels, or wash rags. They only had a a bath towel and what I assumed was a floor mat towel. But outside of that the stay was perfect! Would definitely stay in this hotel again "

"Well-maintained hotel in a lovely country village. The building has been there a long time, but everything was clean and worked well. The hotel restaurant was very busy all the time! I found the food and service outstanding. The local area is full of walking paths and plenty of natural beauty."

"Our hotel room was separated From the restaurant in a separate 2-storey house with ca. 4 hotel rooms. We were very happy with it. Clean , modern room with TV, nespresso coffee machine and tea, a (remote gas fire) fireplace, shower and bath tub. The plug sockets are baby-safe. There was an excellent choice for breakfast with inside and outside tables in the restaurant across the street that is part of the hotel. "This is a humble little place above a bar/restaurant. The bed was really nice, and the bathroom was squeaky clean, with good water pressure in the shower. There was a nice radiator that worked well and a shelf above it, that made it easy to dry things in the rainy season. That said, it is above a bar.
