"We had a great experience at Lanzarote Barcelo Active Resort. Lots of fun activities for the kids. Close to airport and beaches. Big rooms. Good food options in buffet. Would have liked more vegetarian main course options. One suggestion to have separation between vegetarian and non-vegetarian to avoid cross contamination. Lanzarote is a beautiful island to visit. Definitely recommend."

"We stayed during Christmas period and really appreciate the hard work of all staff at reception, restaurant etc to provide normal desk service, cleaning of our room, pool, and various kind of activities. Our door lock is also quickly repaired. They are very professional and friendly. It makes our holiday a pleasant stay. "The hotel is very grand with old-fashioned furniture which is a little faded, but I quite liked it. Plenty of facilities, although the Spa is extra and I didn't opt for it. Breakfast was inclusive, and excellent with an extensive buffet selection. So much to eat that I didn't bother having lunches during my stay! "

"Great hotel but they need to look at the small details to be an exceptional hotel. We had problems with sliding wardrobe doors not working, body lotion dispenser not working, tea and coffee drawer jammed amd hotel bar light flickering , which as was explained to staff could cause an epileptic fit in someone. "This is probably the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. Plenty of space and hotel never felt full. Plenty of sunbeds ( no getting up at ridiculous times) and the food ( half board) was excellent value for money. Hotel is mainly filled with 50 age group but if you want a week in the sun, very chilled quiet and relaxed this is a superb choice. "

"This beautiful hotel is in a fantastic location, easy access to the beach & great walks. Spotlessly clean throughout. Food options & varieties are great. Vast pool area with 3 pools & lifeguards on duty daily. Towels supplied for sun loungers & daily activities organised for adults and children. "Check in was lovely. Very welcoming staff. Room beautiful. Whole hotel was lovely. Special shout out to David our waiter in 17 Blue who made our evening really special including recommendations & great cocktails. Although we had a city view we still had lovely views of the beach & harbour. "

"From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed, the staff are brilliant, the room with a sea front view was spotless and felt like new. The shower was the best I've ever had. We even had enough clothes hangers, a rarity. Breakfast was good and the pool area although the water was fresh, was great to relax at. Could not fault the hotel at all, will happily return."
