"This was our most favorite stay in China! From the gorgeous scenery in the park to the silly monkeys, this stay was a magical experience. Of course, the rooms are as beautiful as they appear on the site! But where this hotel really gets its charm is the staff! These are the most sincere and kind people we have ever met. "Staff on reception and in breakfast room so helpful and attentive despite some not speaking much or any English. Young girl cooking noodles and eggs at breakfast was v busy and clearly proud of her cooking. Very kind and attentive Young lady on reception who spoke English helped book rice terraces and river trips and wasn't pushy. Staff member took us to bus meet point and waited with us until bus turned up when it was v late after flooding from severe thunderstorm Nice room with bath on terrace...

"Very tranquil location by the lake, great break from the stress of the city. Can go hiking up the mountain or biking along the river. Hotel will lend the bike for free. Warm and accommodating staff. Best to get a lake view room. Classic decor. Rooms are clean too. Three floors no elevator. While the hotel has a picturesque lakeside restaurant that serves Chinese and some Western food for lunch and dinner, there're a lack of shops and restaurants in the area. Guests will have to go to the city...
