"Chalet style accommodation. Like living in a small house. Very quiet at certain timing and on weekdays if there are no school holidays. But you will surely wake up before 6 am."

"Just stayed one night . The hotel is older but clean and comfortable . The staff were nice . Taiping is a nice little place with a big beautiful park and lots of mountains behind . Good food and chesp"

"The front desk staff allow me to check-in on 3.45 pm while I already inform them that I will check in at 1 pm if it's possible. Need to wait for quite sometimes for them to prepare the room. Despite the staff allow me to check in quite late (almost 4pm), the staff keep on highlighting that we must check out at 12 pm. I quite disappointed with this. I found a bed bug during my stay there. Other amenities provided are good, iron is provided as per request. "

"Customer service was great. However cockroaches were observed almost everyday in the room. Rats running around above the ceiling. Pigeons noise from above ceiling day and night. Should offer more breakfast options other than just vegan nasi lemak and sandwiches. Door sound insulation was bad. Add a door bottom seal could probably improve the sound insulation as well as sealing bottom gap and prevent cockroach entering the room. The room also didn't have telephone to call the front desk. "

"The staff were friendly and service was prompt. The setbacks were the rate charged which did not correspond to the facilities. I booked a family room and it was not what I expected. Cramped, toilet was dirty, no toiletries provided except for a miserable small bottle of shampoo and body wash. No laundry bags, carpet was slightly damp and smelled musty. The layout of the room is very disappointing. The air cond is placed in the wrong location. And the car park is to be shared with the customers...

"Jojo was a wonderful host. The care she puts into her house for the guests’ comfort (from the communication, instructions, book of recommendations, snacks&drinks to different kinds of body&face wash) were very much appreciated. What was not mentioned in the posting was the availability of laundry which was a pleasant surprise. The only thing is it’s 15mins outside the core city, but if you have a car, it’s not a problem. The shower was a bit confusing to turn on so would’ve been good to have a simple arrow to show where to turn on. But these aren’t dealbreakers. We would stay again if we’re back in Ipoh. Thanks Jojo!"

The layout of the room is very disappointing. The air cond is placed in the wrong location. And the car park is to be shared with the customers of the food court. Couldn't sleep at night because of the noises from the food court and the trains which ply the track behind the hotel. The hotel needs a revamp. I'm very sure not to go back to this hotel. "
