"Hotel style property, a little larger than I expected. A bit dated. We stayed in a traditional Japanese room with futons. Overall the room was great, but the futons were the hardest, least comfortable of the trip. Meals however were excellent, and we very much enjoyed the outdoor baths."

"Wing International Izumi is a simple Japanese-style hotel directly across a small plaza from the Izumi train station. The rooms are simple, but larger than most Japanese hotel rooms, and the breakfast is excellent. There is a good restaurant on the premises. My wife and I stayed here when visiting the famous Crane Observatory in the outskirts of Izumi. Our only complaint is that the rooms are only cleaned every third day, but that is getting to be a common practice now."

"The hotel is a bit overpriced for a city which serves more as an overnight transit stop for tourists attracted to the region. The hotel primarily caters to Japanese clients and the staff can only speak limited English. Car parking (storage to be precise) underground uses a mechanised system with no pedestrian access, which means you cannot have ready and free access to your car and you need to call a car park attendant say when you need to drive to places for meals. "The staff are extremely helpful. They help us make arrangements for the bus interchange and transport from the hotel to the interchange (with their vehicle). I was late for breakfast but they kept it open. The room is excellent value and its lovely looking out over the river. The sound of the running water is beautiful."

"Hotel is not located in tourist hot spot and is better accessed by car. Maybe that's why one can get a very spacious room at a reasonable price. Also the hot spring spa has multiple pools. Highly recommended!"
