"I have been traveling for business and pleasure for over 50 years. This may be the best hotel experience I've had. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location could not have been better. Breakfast was delicious. Price was great. The room was beautiful, comfortable and up to date. My only recommendation would be a safety bar at the foot of the tub in addition to the one on the side. "

"The picture posted on Expedia of the outside of the building was not the same as the building itself. The pictures of the bathroom on the website are only from the bigger rooms so when we checked in there was only a small square shower. The staff was amazing went out of their way to make my stay there much better. "

"All in all a good place to stay. A quirky policy of requiring a 10 euro security deposit to borrow their umbrella. It seems to me that they should let you borrow it and and charge the fee if you fail to return the umbrella or damage it somehow the staff was friendly and willing to help"

"We enjoyed our stay. Our only complaint is there were no wash cloths in the bathroom. The breakfast was topnotch! The hotel was centrally located amongst the sites to see in Rudesheim. "

"Clean room, comfortable bed, great breakfast. Room was on the top floor and smaller than the rooms we’ve stay in here before, and it felt a little cramped. Room was very warm, but the fan in the room helped, until the night air cooled the room. "

"The hotel is in a great location and the car park is close by. The lady on the desk when we checked in we think was the owner. She was really helpful and friendly. The breakfast room was a typical German wooden panelled room which was delightful the staff made us feel welcome and the breakfast was excellent. "

"Our family of four stayed in the family suite that had a king bed and sofa in main area, and then a side bedroom with two twins. It was a great bed arrangement for our family. The bathroom was small and not ventilated nor had a window, and no wash cloths were provided yet towels and hand towels were. The room seemed a bit dated, but it was large (other than small bathroom), clean, and comfortable. It is on one of the main streets in town about a 20-30 minute walk up a hill (not too steep)...

"Excellent hotel in a stunning setting. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Parking is freely available. Very good restaurant and the breakfast is also top class. Free bus pass provided to take you into the town, runs every 30 mins."

"Such a quaint and cozy stay. The breakfast buffet is very impressive and only 10€. The staff were super helpful and kind helping us find places and excursions to go on. The only reason its not a 5 star rating is because the showers have low pressure but besides that the hotel is amazing and lovely"

"I stayed five nights and would book again. The location is very pleasant and safe, in a residential area. It is short (5-minute) enjoyable walk to the bus stop. Public transportation is excellent, so all of Mainz is easily accessible. Additionally it is only a 10-minute walk to the Gutenberg university. "Restaurant and location. Jacob, our waiter several nights was personable, attentive and fun The restaurant was a great location outside in front of the hotel. It would of been better if they seated smokers at one side of the outdoor restaurant and non smokers at the other. "Clean and comfortable. At the time we stayed, 21 to 29 December 2017 the hotel was largely filled with elderly German coach parties. They seemed to be on a full board basis so the dining room was crowded at mealtimes. Luckily we were able to use the smaller room off the main area which was quieter and quite pleasant.
