"Spent one night at this hotel before our flight back to the states. I chose it due to its proximity to the train station. It was a convenient walk but a little sketchy. The hotel is really a motel with a funky smell of curry in the upper floors. The check in was quick and easy. The reception gentlemen was direct but friendly. "Needed a place to stay overnight before heading out to the Dolomites. Hotel Altieri was a good choice. The room was a little outdated, but clean. The staff was excellent and very helpful, even helped find another guest to split the fare to the airport (was raining and we didn't want to walk to the bus stop even though it was very close.) The breakfast that was included was very good and fullfilling."

"We loved this hotel. Friendly staff and atmosphere. Close to the train station and buses. Make sure and reserve you breakfast the next morning as it will be one of the best you have had. Room are very nice and clean. Winderful hotel. Only thing was tge neighborhood. Is not full of italians, but a different group of people who must have immigrated there. Book this hotel and enjoy the venice area. We recommmend"

"This smaller, older, clean, well maintained hotel is a good place to stay. Excellent staff who were very helpful and allowed us to leave our luggage for a few hours. Easy walking distance to train station. I found the firm pillows a bit hard, but really enjoyed this place. Would recommend & stay again."

"Used this hotel as a base to visit Venice. The location of the hotel is excellent - 20 minutes on the bus from the airport to Mestre and a 10 minute walk to the hotel. Venice central is 10 minutes on the train. Hotel room was clean but basic. No frills but all we needed for 3 nights. Continental breakfast was very good. Kettle in the room would have been appreciated, the room needed a bit of TLC but for the price, I would recommend and will happily visit again if visiting Venice. "

"I arrived in Padova very early and the Al Cason staff got my room prepared with just a short wait for early check-in. I liked being congratulated whenever I tried practicing my Italian with them. It's an easy walk from the train station but more out of the way than I'd thought when booking. "

"Helpful staff who were happy to provide maps of the city and other help. Room was very modern with powerful AC and walk-in shower. Beds were comfortable if a bit hard for us. Staff replaced towels daily and made beds neatly. Very quiet despite ground level room next to road + hospital. Bathroom could get quite hot/humid due to no fan but dried quickly. No kettle meant we couldn't make drinks. One reading light didn't turn on. A ~20 minute walk to the city centre was quite long at the height...

"This was a well located property in mainland Venice. A quick 10-15 minute train or bus ride to classic Venice. The walk to the bus or train station is about 5-7 minutes. Tourists stay on the mainland because it’s got bigger rooms at a much lower price and are more modern for this price range (not talking about the luxury hotels in classic Venice). The hotel was large, clean, felt safe, and very convenient location. My only note was a blind shutter pulley fell down and nearly missed my head when I pulled in it. Hotel fixed it right away. I did not opt for the breakfast which I think was 11 euros. Elevators worked well and bathroom was larger than in other parts of Italy. Recommend. "
