"We arrived soo late due to our flight being rerouted. After flying Internationally for 28hrs we were exhausted. The gentleman helping us with our bags, the check in Gentleman and the staff helping us with breakfast were honestly superb! It was a genuinely wonderful overnight visit. "I stayed at room 208, the room seem like its been abandoned for ages. Mold growth on the ceiling and wall corners , curtains are dirty, no TV remote, no shower gel, have to wait for towels. Let alone the fact that I chose an option of a breakfast and paid extra yet the hotel does not provide breakfast"

"Don’t do it to your family. Old decrepit unit. The only good thing is location. The agent communicated well. But when we complained about numerous issues, all we got was an apology. No refunds, no real substance, just sorry. Place was flooded from the rain though the windows that don’t close. Doors falling off. Dirty couches, the list goes on…"

"What a lovely experience. Fairway Guesthouse was sublimely superb. As a location with an absolutely stunning view of the golf course overlooking the sea and Durban cityscapes, as well as the absolutely wonderful friendly service, that simply made us feel home away from home. "First of all they only had one key to the room. This was never communicated to me until Sunday when evening when I found my room the way I left in the morning. I engaged them and only then I found out that I was supposed to leave my key with them. No cutlery, cups glasses in the room for coffee and or eating at night. "The staff at this place are phenomenal!! We had only booked this for one night, but ended up staying for 4 nights because we all took turns with the stomach flu. There is a pharmacy connected with the hotel, which was wonderful. Each morning when I would go down to extend for another night, they would ask how we were doing, give us water bottles and ask if there was anything extra they could do to help out. Across the street was a small grocery store that we could pick up things.. Uber Eats works there also, but you have to meet them outside the front door. The beds are very comfortable and nice size bathroom. It is about a 5 minute walk down to Umhlanga rocks and the lighthouse. There is a mall within walking distance and also several other restaurants besides what is in the mall. Parking is covered and secured. Breakfast has so many options and is so good. I would definitely stay at this place again if we go back. "
